What’s your biggest remaining challenge?

This is the life. Except for…

Welcome to http://theonelastthing.com. I’m Alexia.

Why am I starting this blog?

Because…

Except for one thing, I have it all. I am living my dream.

I found and married my soulmate and we have several great kids. It’s a little spooky sometimes how very alike he and I are, even though we are from different continents. Our kids are incredible little individuals. My last was born at home in the water — a life-changing experience.

The work I do is fascinating. I am privileged to work with smart funny insightful people around the world. I don’t have days where I wake up and don’t want to go to work. My hours are flexible. I can work from anywhere as long as I have an Internet connection.

I now realize that I was dreaming “low” when I set a goal of a six-figure income. Having achieved that, I’m aiming higher.

I am never bored. There are so many things to do, study, read, learn.

I haven’t relied on cigarettes or any other substances, including pharmaceuticals, to deal with life for many years. More importantly, I no longer believe I need to rely on anything artificial. I am happy, joyous, and free.

I’m strong, active, and healthy.

I continue to develop a deeply rewarding spiritual practice that has resulted in a level of inner peace I have never experienced before in my life.

My four year old daughter said it best in the pool yesterday. We were floating in the cool water with the warm sun shining down on us and she said, “Mommy, this is the life!” 😉

But there’s one thing I haven’t been able to do successfully. And having been successful with most everything else, it’s frustrating.

What is it?

I haven’t lost weight and kept it off.

And that’s my one last thing. And I’m going to deal with it once and for all. And I’m inviting you to join me — to support me, and also to think about the one last thing that YOU want to tackle for yourself.
