Living in completely different parallel universe weight-wise
I read an article from the Happiness Project with some diet tips (some I agreed with, like keeping a food diary, and others I don’t, like outlawing certain foods), but I needed to spend significant time understanding how this statement could be possible:
I’m about three pounds over where I’d like to be….
Oh, wait, that statement just short-circuited my brain again. Hang on. (Overwhelmed by internal conversation about how such a universe can co-exist with my own, in which three pounds can be a simple daily fluctuation for me, not a goal as it is for her — my goals are measured in 10s and 100s. And please note, I’m just saying this in amazement with perhaps a bit of envy and hope for the future combined with a smidge of bitterness for bite — not in judgment.)
From a comment on that article, I found an interesting link to an article in the Telegraph essentially suggesting a visual, not just written, food diary. Intriguing (and seems much easier to me to do). May have to try that.

In her (?) defense, we should recognize that 3 pounds is probably 3% of her body weight…
Signed,
I’m Bitter Even If You’re Not
LOL Sarah! I did own a bit of bitterness in my post
I read the same thing on the same blog this week… and was shocked. I know everyone has their own battles - it’s just that mine are about 10x hers, I guess.
At least it’s not just me
I was thinking about this again this afternoon thinking, well, if I had thought like that maybe I wouldn’t have gotten to where I got. Or, maybe I just would have been totally neurotic!
