Progress on Lazy Waister Triathlon
Well, I have finished half of the marathon leg (13 out of 26 miles) of the Lazy Waister’s Triathlon.

Today, I’m going to start swimming while I finish up the marathon leg over the next few days. Then, as soon as the marathon leg is done, I need to add the biking! That wasn’t quite the way I originally planned it, but it’s getting done and I’m having fun!
My plan to finish by Oct 3:
- Walk 4 miles, 4 miles, 3 miles, 2 miles over the next four days to finish the marathon.
- Swim, starting today: 5 laps for four days, then 10 laps for 6 days, then 8 laps the final day to finish the swimming portion, for a total of 2.5 miles. (I think I can swim more at a time, so I’m going to try to just knock it out this weekend. My big challenge will be childcare!)
- Bike after I finish the marathon portion, 112 miles over 18 days, which means 5-8 miles a day. Between my bike and my exercise bike, I’ll get it done.
Phew! This is becoming addictive! It’s a lot more fun than I expected!

I’m actually finding work to be an impediment to my new found exercise fun. LOL. Need to win the lottery! Guess I need to play for that to happen. Oh, well! Back to work! (T minus 27 minutes to swimming at the YMCA)
