What’s your biggest remaining challenge?

Well, I did it. I signed up for Biggest Loser Blog Edition.

Well, I’ve done it. I did what I usually don’t do and publicly signed up for a weight-related challenge: The Biggest Loser Blog Edition.

I usually avoid these things because (a) I don’t like to fail publicly and (b) I assume it will be too much pressure and will demotivate me, or worse.

However, I am having such fun with the Lazy Waister Triathlon that I decided maybe public shame commitment is a good thing! So, I’m in. Let’s see what happens between now and 27 December 2008.

I’ve been talking smack on people’s blogs about this (a little competition never hurt anyone!) but you seem nervous so I’ll just say: Yay for making the commitment and signing up! Regardless of what we lose, we’ll all make progress throughout the challenge! and what a time to have it: through the holidays. You can do it!

LOL Thanks Kelly! I’m not like this about anything else in my life, which drives me crazy. Time to change that!

I’m like Opposite Girl. I actually find it easier to deal during harder times, like the holidays. Go figure. I’m the person who will make a feast for Thanksgiving and lose weight. But give me some random Tuesday in the year and I’ll eat. Oh, well!

Hey Alexia – Good job on signing up for the BL challenge. I’m like you and never sign up for challenges (I also hate public…um..challenges :) .

I read your comment on the Food Tracking blog that you’re taking pictures of the food you eat. You said you read a scientific study that this helps people eat less. I like that idea. I saw the TLC show last night – “I eat 33,000 calories a day” – where they did a documentary on three people that all weigh in excess of 500 pounds. When they showed one of the ladies all the food she ate in a day she just couldn’t believe it. I have a feeling I’d feel the same way if I saw all I ate in a day. It’s one thing to write it down, but I bet it would be something else to actually see pictures of it.

I hope to read about your success. Sounds like you’re off to a good start.

I LOVE the idea of a lazyman’s triathlon! So cool and a great goal to set for yourself. Before you know it you too will be a triathlete! AND congrats on signing up for the challenge. It’s great to have so much support!
