A picture of what I want in life: visual representation of 2008 goals
I’m a visual person. So, I keep a visual representation of my goals in my planner each year. The whole left side is dedicated to fitness this year because that’s my main focus. I have some others on the right. It really helps me focus when I think about what I need to do for the week, because I can ask myself — is that going to get me where I want to go?
How do you keep your priorities, goals, whatever you want to call them, in the forefront?

I love that you have a balance of fitness and other goals. Very nice collage. The depiction of strong women doing stuff (not just standing around in a bikini!) is awesome!
How do I keep my priorities in the forefront? I use the Franklin Covey planning system. They have the weekly compass where you list your main “roles”, duties you need to do within these roles, etc… to help keep you on track week to week.
Yeah, I just can’t relate to the bikini — I’d never believe that as a goal for me
But the strong active woman? That’s me! Just fatter than I want to be for now, but that’s temporary! (OK, decades temporary, but temporary!)
I used Franklin Covey for years, most recently the Julie Morgenstern stuff. It’s a good system. I found a system recently called Planner Pad that I almost dismissed that works even better for me in combo with my electronic planning tools. They are similar in many ways, though!
What a great idea! Staying focused is so very important.
