What’s your biggest remaining challenge?

Feeling great! What laser focus and energy I have!

WOW! The blahs have definitely passed.

By 9:30 this morning, I was like a whirlwind through the house. I:

  • Baked a loaf of homemade bread (smell wakes the kids up better than an alarm clock)
  • Prepared dinner (vegan lentil shepherds pie) and started cooking it in the slow cooker to be ready this afternoon (house smells warm and yummy on a cold and rainy day)
  • Cooked oatmeal (not instant!) and made hubby’s special tea (raspberry herb tea with brown sugar and lime) for the recovering kids
  • Washed the dishes
  • Took the trash out for trash day (how do we generate so much trash!?)
  • Washed two loads of laundry (alas, not yet folded, but will do during conference call later)
  • Got the kids up, dressed, fed, and ready for school (with backpacks checked and lunches packed)
  • Walked 3 miles
  • Got to work (entails firing up computer in my bedroom today — working at home, so short commute!)

Phew! And not even a Diet Coke in sight!

Let me at that US$7B bailout plan to save the economy — I’ll whip one up in 10 minutes! ;-)

I love the way I feel when I don’t sedate myself with food and when I get oxygen to my brain and body with exercise. Energetic and focused. I have gotten more done this week than in the past month, I think.

Speaking of exercise, I wrapped up the 26 mile run (ok, mostly walk) leg of the Lazy Waister’s Triathlon this morning. I did the 2.5 mile swimming leg over a weekend a while ago. Just need to finish cycling now! I’ve done 65 miles, leaving 47 to go. I need to finish by Oct 3, but I wonder if I can push myself to finish in the next three or four days, to challenge myself.

Do you know if they are going to do the Lazy Waisters Tri again? I’d love to try it!

Oh my goodness, what a productive day. I wish I had half of your energy. I’m exhausted just reading it. ;)

I have to say, by 10pm, I was tired. I fell asleep during the election campaign debate! :-( My kids just woke us up again — not sick anymore, but a nightmare and growing pains. Poor babies.
