What’s your biggest remaining challenge?

Guilin, a BLT, and a Western toilet

I was thinking I wouldn’t get much exercise today because we went on a river cruise, but we did do a fair bit of walking afterwards!

We are in Guilin, a charming city. A few too many tourists around for my taste, but heck, I’m one of them, so I can’t complain too much, can I ;-)

It was raining most of the day, but it really just added to the charm of the area — everything was very misty and romantic.

Probably, the vendors on the little rafts out in the pouring rain didn’t feel likewise.

Eating lots of chili peppers (luckily without any, er, negative digestive effects)!

The topography here really is stunning.

I have been enjoying the food and culture and everything, but after an exhausting 10+ hour day, I looked forward to the hotel room, a simple BLT for dinner, and a Western toilet. Not necessarily in that order.

Non-Western toilet? I’ve been there, done that. Although it is a great way to strengthen your legs…………….:)

Yeah… I don’t want to go anywhere without a western toilet. Glad to hear you’re having an awesome vacation.
