Why are you sad? I have been following your Blog for about 10 days now I guess. You inspire me, but not for the reason you might think. I have lost the majority of my weight (have about 40 more pounds to go), but what inspires me is your professional success despite your size. I found it very difficult to advance in my career despite my hard work for what I felt was due to not fitting the “corporate image.” It was amazing to see how doors opened up for me once I became a normal size. So, KUDOS to you! And thank you for making me feel a little bit better. I wish you much success! A side note: its a different world once you lose the weight. I went from almost 400lbs to my current weight of 185. Life is good when you aren’t imprisoned in your own body! KEEP GOING!

Thanks, Lilly — had a few low days — I think being sick and having very little sleep after my travels made me a little more vulnerable than usual and I was really affected by a few situations I came home to. But I’m starting to focus and get my groove back and your note helped :-)

I wonder how it will be when I do lose my weight — how it will be different. I have definitely faced fat phobia. I sometimes wonder what could have happened had I not been so fat. But, I’m happy with my life (most days :-) ), so I guess I went the path I went for a reason. Your note is helping me get excited about getting rid of this extra weight for good! Thanks :-)
