Dealing with stress constructively
I had a moment of clarity last year in which I realized that, until I learned to deal with stress better, I would never stop overeating to deal with stress.
Sounds obvious, right?
So I have experimented and found several things that work for me, not necessarily in this order or in every circumstance:
- Support from people (such as my wonderful tea-brewing husband)
- Exercise (usually something fairly intense)
- Holosync (”automatic” meditation)
- Spiritual practices (my childhood religion, in my case)
And, puppy cams.

Never underestimate the power of breathing!
I reguarly cruise YouTube for funny videos. I grab the funniest ones each week and put them on my blog. Regular laughter and humor can modulate your immune system, helping with a healthy immune response.
