What’s your biggest remaining challenge?

Non-scale victory: resting heart rate

My resting heart rate is 56 now. (Used to be in the 70s.) Amazing.

One really motivating thing to me about exercise — our bodies improve so quickly! They so appreciate our efforts. Walk a block today, and in a short week or two, we can walk more distance-wise and more easily effort-wise.  Before we know it, we can walk for an hour or more! It’s so easy to see improvements quickly. What amazing resilient machines we are. Not invincible, but certainly able to make dramatic changes.

I no longer see my body as the enemy, something to be fought and conquered. My body is amazing. I admire and appreciate it. It is me, not some separate entity.

Congratulations - that’s a great NSV. It is incredible how quickly our bodies respond to exercise.
